This October, we celebrate the first year of our global arts movement, Inspired by #Iconic Fishes! Since the launch, we have been building a creative community, receiving both existing and new art from artists and ocean advocates around the world. From paintings and batik to woodcuts, stickers and digital illustrations, each piece offers a unique perspective on the beauty, wonder, and vulnerability of our iconic fishes.
The year included an international art competition with winners from Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. We also hosted an art exhibit and workshop in Robinsons Place Iligan (Philippines), a pottery painting activity with Project Seahorse, and a school mural in Handumon Village (Philippines).
Here's a recap featuring some of the art and activities inspired by #IconicFishes.
